The Merchant’s House

has permanently closed.

But our nearby sister pub, The Jervis Arms, Onecote reopens soon;

As some customers may now be aware we have taken the difficult decision to close the Merchants Kitchen Longnor and hand the building back to its owner.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the difficult trading conditions that the locality brings, it has been challenging to justify staying open and near impossible to maintain profitability.

We are of the understanding that an offer has been accepted on the building and we would like to wish its new owners all the best in there endeavour.

We would like to thank all of our customers past and present for your continued support, and hope to see you at the Jervis Arms at Onecote just down the road.

The award winning food & drink venue The Jervis Arms will soon benefit from a fantastic £350,000 investment.

The investment will include a new modern purpose built commercial kitchen, extended new trading areas, and a new dedicated bar overlooking the River Hamps.

A brand new outdoor alfresco dining area for the summer months, taking advantage of the views that the Peak District and the village has to offer.

The investment will also allow for the development of a number of brand new luxury letting rooms, allowing the Jervis to accommodate over-night stays, serve breakfast and open 7 days a week.

Also don’t forget to check our website for our new venues opening in the Beeston, Nottingham area.
